Have you ever noticed how many movies these days come from books? I don't think Hollwywood knows how to write an original script anymore. Or maybe I seem to only pick up books that will or have been made into movies. Something to ponder on for another time.
This "new" apocolypic world taken over by aliens is not a new idea; however, it must be humanity's worst nightmare because it's what a lot of authors are writing about for different age groups. The story is told from four different perspectives. All provide pieces of information to fit in the big picture. Ultimately, it's a love story, because what story isn't? I enjoyed the book more than the movie (even though this is usually the case, it's always good to note). In addition, I've already purchased the next in the series to read as part of my book challenge.
