I finished reading Gillian Flynn's Dark Places last night. If I had been paying better attention, I would have known how it ended. It still had a good twist. It is a dark, whodunnit, which makes you question the people in your life. I think Gillian Flynn is a well-written author. Others attempt to model after her style of writing; however, I have not seen it done successfully yet. I find it kind of odd to see Charlize Theron as the lead, Libby Day. But, I guess the casting director knows more than me. I will be among the crowds to see it when it comes out in the theaters. I have to attest, books are always* better than the movie. *There was one occasion when this did not ring true; The Secret Life of Walter Mitty was wonderfully done by Ben Stiller. |
