Ever have a conversation with friends, and they wonder how/why you take so much "stuff" on?!? That's me, regularly. I am finishing my second semester at the University of Georgia's graduate program to earn a MEd in Instructional Technology. Recently, I decided I will continue my journey at UGA to earn an EdS in Instructional Technology. I find this drive to continue my education invigorating. Others might have it crazy. Regardless, I continue what I am set out to do. Only three more semester for the first leg!

Do you ever feel excited about something and have a long time to wait to find out what happens? I think when you have a baby, you're excited to find out the gender. Then you're excited to hold the baby for the first time. I know when I was pregnant, I could not wait for all the exciting things to come. This is not what I am excited about today. I wrote a grant for money; why else do people write grants?!? I want to provide the school I work in iPads for four classrooms. I think this would be an awesome (seems to be my favorite word of the week) opportunity for myself, my students, my fellow teachers, and their students. Everyone and anyone who is a teacher can apply for this grant. I don't know how many people do, so I'm not sure what my odds are for receiving it. This doesn't mean I am discouraged, but rather I totally think I could get it.
I submitted the grant and it has been received. I have a waiting period to see if it has been accepted for the public voting process. Then, I will have an additional wait for the public voting process to take place. Fingers crossed and high hopes. I have the ability to do great things for my students, and I plan to take advantage of all of them. |
