1. With moving back into the main building down the 200 hall, I thought it would be beneficial to review procedures and norms for World Literature. In additional to reviewing the existing procedure and norms, I asked students to come up with one or two new ones to include.
2. Mr. Wilcox would like all teachers to create and post promise statements outside of their classroom. As a result, I've asked all students to generate two-three of their own promise statements to post in the classroom. 3. Finally, we jumped right back into a new Article of the Week #5. 1. We began our research on the "Universal Declaration of Human Rights" with the following Prezi:
1. Today was the beginning of a new unit. With this, students' knowledge of the upcoming unit was assessed in a multiple choice pretest. This data will be used to focus the upcoming background information.
2. We completed an in-depth reading of AoW #4 reviewing expectations of Thinking Notes and annotations. Please look to the "Article of the Week" tab for further instructions. 1. Students received this week's Article of the Week #4: Nobel Peace Prize. Look for the AoW tab for more information on printing the article or writing on the blog.
2. Students started recovery for the multiple choice portion of their Twelve Angry Men test. If you did not complete recovery during the class period, it is your responsibility to come before or after school for tutoring to complete it. Students are taking their multiple choice and written response tests today covering information regarding Twelve Angry Men.
1. Prior to taking the multiple choice and written response test tomorrow, Thursday, September 10th, take some time to review using the following Jeopardy Review Game.
1. We finished watching the 1957 Twelve Angry Men film. While watching the film, students could be finishing their Act I questions (blue sheet)_ or Act II questions (yellow sheet). These sheets should be turned in by Monday at the lasted.
2. As the ending of Twelve Angry Men is left open (as we don't know who really committed the crime), students are writing a 1st person letter of confession providing FIVE details from the story as support. Use the following Confession Letter_ as a guide while writing. 3.
